Kodi Ramakrishna, who is currently working on his Kannada directorial debut starring Ramya and Diganth, reveals exclusively to TOI that his next will be made in all four south Indian languages. The as-yet-untitled film, which will take off in the second half of September, will star Lakshmi Rai, Arjun Sarja and Sonu Sood. 'Arjun and Lakshmi play the protagonists, while my Arundhati actor, Sonu, plays the antagonist.
The film is about a couple and their kid, while Sonu's role in the film is the most important one. What happens between the child actor and Sonu makes up the crux of my film,' says Kodi, who plans to shoot the film in all four south Indian languages.
'Since this is a big project, I have cast actors from each of the four industries in major roles in the film. I did this because of the familiarity aspect. Even my lead actors ' Lakshmi, Arjun and Sonu ' are popular in all the four languages, which is vital for the films to do well,' says Kodi.
Lakshmi, who is currently preparing for this film, says, 'It is a privilege for me to work with a director like Kodi Ramakrishna. He has made landmark films like
Arundhati and his women characters have author-backed roles.'
