Director Pawan Kumar was facing several problems to release his highly acclaimed film Lucia, as distributors shied away from releasing the film in theatres across Karnataka.
The film made headlines after it won awards and critical appreciation at the London film festival. Sathish Ninasam, the actor who played the lead role in the film is also winning accolades by veteran actors too. In fact, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan praised Sathish’s acting skills after watching Lucia. “My director told me that Irrfan loved my acting. Apparently, he told Pawan that I would go a long way and I was good in the film. I feel motivated when I hear such compliments from an actor of his calibre who has even reached Hollywood,” said Sathish.
