Lucia to be released in Pakistan?

Good news for Sandalwood, as critically acclaimed Kannada film Lucia has caught the attention of Pakistani movie-goers. In fact, reports say Pakistani newspaper, The Express Tribune, has published the review of Kannada film Lucia. This is a positive sign as till now none of the Kannada movies have been released in the neighbouring country. But, maybe, with all the critical acclaim Lucia is garnering, it might be released in Pakistan, like several Bollywood films.
Lucia, directed by Pawan Kumar, was released on September 6. The film, which has Sathish Neenasam and Shruti Hariharan in the lead roles, talks about how the protagonist Sathish suffers from insomania. While the film is getting mixed reviews at the BO, overall the movie is found to be a 'different' attempt in Kannada cinema.
Director Pawan’s Kannada film, Lucia, has won the coveted Audience Award at the fourth London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) in July this year. The inventive crowd-funded film, powered by UK-based online outfit Distrify, is doing good business at theatres in Bangalore and Chennai.
