Maanikya to release on May 1?

If reports are to be believed the much-awaited Sudeep-starrer Maanikya is all set to hit screens on May 1. However, nothing has been confirmed by Sudeep, who has also directed the movie.
There was also the buzz that Sudeep's directorial flick and Yash's film Gajakesari , another highly anticipated film, were set for a box office clash. Maanikya was earlier supposed to release on March 29, but postponed to April 25.Even Gajakesari was supposed to release on April 25.
In fact, a fan even posted on Sudeep's Twitter timeline and said, "I think manikya and yash's gajakesari will clash each other,so it will acts as a negetative fact to manikya film." Sudeep then responded, "we surely ain't clashing n if u think it's gonna be negative to us then I guess they deserve th best. cheers."
Maanikya is a remake of the Telugu hit Mirchi. Y
