Milana goes from being Vijay Raghavendra’s fan to heroine
Cinematographer-turned-director PKH DasJani brings actors Vijay Raghavendra and Milana Nagaraj together for the first time. And while the actress is gung-ho about this pairing, during a recent interaction with Bangalore Times, she let slip that her association with the actor began a long time ago.
“Vijay sir is not going to like it if I mention my school days, but when his first film, Ninagagi, released, I was still in school and at every music competition, I used to sing his song, Hani Hani Seri.

It used to be good fun. And look at him today, he is just the same,” she says.
From her school-girl fascination for Vijay, Milana then graduated to being his heroine, and that too with a sensual rain-dance duet, which is her personal favourite as well. “Our song, Kadu Kadu, was shot at night during winter, so it was already very cold and to top it, choreographer Chinni Prakash wanted it to be a rain song,” says Vijay, to which Milana quips, “What’s worse is that we would can a shot, all cold and wet, and then run to warm up before the next shot, only to have it repeat all over again. It was tough, but working with Chinni Prakash sir made me very happy.”
