At a time when drugs have become a pervasive evil, infiltrating every strata of society, “the film Bheema delves deep into the heart of this crisis”, says actor Vijay Kumar.
“The alarming rate at which this menace is spreading poses a grave threat to our community. In this film, we’ve focused on the grassroots level to explore how this problem can be tackled effectively. To ensure authenticity, I visited a drug rehabilitation centre and interacted with individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups. Their experiences were instrumental in shaping a script grounded in reality. With a cast of 150 fresh faces, the film delivers powerful performances that bring these characters to life,” he says.
Starring newcomer Ashwini in the lead, the film is generating a lot of buzz before its release, says Vijay, and adds, “The film has a strong social message wrapped in an entertaining package, serving as a wake-up call for today’s youth.”
Vijay, who is currently visiting colleges to promote the film, says, “The response from students has been positive, with countless reels expressing their love for the film. This film is a raw, cult experience inspired by real-life stories. The songs have also gained immense popularity, giving us the confidence that audiences will flock to theatres.”
