's move to regulate content published on OTT platforms. "My biggest fear is that it should not become a restriction for creative person's to express their creativity. I am all for classification and categorization of content. Even I have a 13-year-old niece watching online content and I do keep a tab on what she is watching. But, certify it in the category and let the audience decide and not make this a restriction on creating content. The creative community should be allowed to create," he says.

The Central Government on Thursday released a set of new guidelines for social media and digital content platforms and urges content creators, OTT content publishers to self-classify the content into five age-based category - U(Universal), U/A 7+, U/A 13+, U/A 16+ AND A(Adult). Speaking further about the self-classification the filmmaker added, "self-classification or self regulation is a very subjective term. What works for one as a creative visual content might not be perceived as that by someone else. Hence, it is tricky. Hence, government can classify content in different categories and allow the audience to make that decision. Again my biggest fear is that these guidelines and regulations should not restrict creativity of a creative content creator."
