Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu offers a comedic look at materialism

You are ‘responsible for your own belongings’ is the core message of Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu, say the film’s makers. Speaking to us, cinematographer-turnedproducer Magesh Ravindran says the film “uses entertaining storytelling to warn against cheating and deception, highlighting the importance of personal responsibility in the modern world”.

Directed by Keshav Moorthy, the film, starring Dileep Raj, Shilpa Manjunath, Madhusudhan Govind, Apoorva Bharadwaj, and Prasanna Shetty, releases today (January 10) in cinemas across Karnataka. Magesh adds, “This is a new team with a fresh storyline and a really profound way of telling it. There are no big stars in this one. The movie’s completely clean — no obscene scenes — and it’ll keep you hooked. We also look at how attached people get to their stuff, even though it won’t last forever.” The film, also produced by Kubendran, has been made under the banner of Native Craft and Picture Shop.
