The aim of fashion is always to inspire, says celebrity stylist Bhargavi Vikyathi, who this festive season brought nine actresses — Meghana Raj Sarja, Sruthi Hariharan, Manvita Kamath, Ankita Amar, Sangeetha Sringeri, Sindhu Loknath, Monica Gowda, Ragini Prajwal and Moksha Kushal — together for a special
Navratri shoot to celebrate
women empowerment. “This is my fourth edition of the series — a concept-based photoshoot I curate annually during Navratri. This year, we decided to focus on women empowerment. My aim was to inspire other women. While women are already empowered, a little inspiration can go a long way. Through this concept, I hope to motivate others. I’ve always prioritised design and styling to tell a bigger story, ensuring high-quality work in terms of colours, themes and draping styles. In this shoot, each aspect aligned with the Navratri spirit, while staying true to our traditions.”
‘Each shot showcases the true beauty and strength of being a woman’ Of the shoot that took about a month to execute, Bhargavi says, “My fashion and design school has been instrumental in this project. My students have been incredibly dedicated, contributing their all to the mood boards, look boards and the overall shoot. They’ve even connected with actors and secured their participation.” “Previously, I’ve featured influential women from our state. This year, the theme explores various aspects of women’s empowerment, including freedom, love, light and hope. The accompanying photos and stories showcase the beauty and strength of womanhood,” she adds.
