Puneeth Rajkumar's latest film
Ninnindale, which the screens last Thursday, will apparently be trimmed by 18 minutes.
The film is currently 2 hours 40 minutes long. With more than 800 shows on the first day, the film garnered Rs 2.5 crores at the box office on the opening day itself.
While fans are lapping up the film, one of the complaints was about its length. Including the break and commercials, audience had to spend at least three hours inside the theater.
Combined with the huge rush, it became difficult for common audience to spend at least half a day for the film.
Considering all this, the film team has decided to cut the film by about 18 minutes. The theaters are expected to screen the new version from Sunday.
Ninnindale will therefore become the first film of Puneeth's that will be trimmed after release.
