Sandalwood gears up for V Minus
Now, a film without any actors
Films with a mimimum number of actors is not new to Sandalwood. Director Baraguru Ramachandrappa and actress Bhavana even managed to get into the Guinness Book of Records with their single-actor movie Shanti.
A new Kannada film, V Minus, is set to do one better. It will not have a single actor on the screen. The only presence of actors you will notice in the film are some shadows.
This experimental film is the brainchild of director Sriram Babu.

The locations the film is shot in is a village, a school building and a graveyard.
Even without the use of actors, Babu says there are several characters in V Minus who will present themselves only through voices. The film is about 'unsatisfied souls' he says.
The only living thing that will have a big screen presence in the film is a tree.
It was not easy for Babu to convince producer Shivakumar. He took three years to write the script and six months to persuade Shivakumar.
The shooting of the film including two songs has been completed and the team hopes to get the film ready for release by the end of the year.
Babu says he needs time to finish the CG work that is plenty in the film.
