Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna's upcoming film 'NBK 107' (tentative title) is sure to be special. While the Telugu audiences get to see in a rather rugged, intense action avatar, their Kannada counterparts can look forward to
Duniya Vijay making his presence felt in his Tollywood debut. The team of 'NBK 107' unveiled Balakrishna's first look earlier today to a tremendous response.
However, along came a lot of scrutiny as many on the internet deemed that Nandamuri Balakrishna's look in the film resembled that of Shiva Rajkumar's in the 2017 Kannada film 'Mufti'.
The social media discussion soon led to many believing that 'NBK 107' could well be a remake of 'Mufti', despite the makers making no such claims to date.
'Mufti', directed by Narthan, followed Srii Murali's cop character whose attempts to pin the underworld king (played by Shivanna) form an intense plot. Shiva Rajkumar's quirky look in the film, comprising a black shirt and a rustic veshti or panche, strikes a rather curious resemblance with Balakrishna's avatar in 'NBK 107', thus leading to the ongoing confusion among the digital audience.
However, a few online reports have sought exclusive clarification from the team of 'NBK 107' which has discarded all the remake rumors and stated that the story is 100% original. The film stars
Shruti Haasan in the lead with Mythri Movie Makers bankrolling the project.
