Not long ago, director TS Nagabharana’s son Pannaga Bharana announced his desire to direct films. Pannaga was to make Madhuve Impossible, with Shivarajkumar and Radhika Pandit in 2011. However, the project didn’t take off and he busied himself with short films and documentaries. Direction, though, it seems, has been put on hold as Pannaga gets set to make his acting debut as the villain in his father’s film, Vasundhara. “My projects were taking longer than anticipated. A friend who works in advertising had shot a couple of my pictures. My father saw these and decided to cast me in a negative role in his film,” he says.
Vasundhara will take off by the end of May and will have
Aishwarya Nag playing the title role. The film is about the television industry. It also stars
Avinash and Bharath Kalyan in important roles. “I play a guy who heads a TV channel, and the crux of the story is how I turn things around and how that affects people,” he explains.
