Actress Parul Yadav beat the likes of Deepika Kamaiah, Soundarya Jayamala, Shweta Srivatsav and Hardika Shetty to win the Best Newcomer Award in the Bangalore Times Film Awards 2012. In her debut Kannada film, Parul Yadav had quite a challenge — she was one of four girls who come into the life of the hero and, hence, it was imperative that she make her presence felt.
Luckily for her, she not only gets the man in the end, but also had the hit song from the film, Pyarge Agbitaithe, picturized on her and leading man
Komal. “While Govindaya Namaha paved the way for better projects for me, so far all the recognition I have got has been for style and glamour, among others. This is the first award that takes cognizance of my acting prowess, and I am very thankful to the readers of Bangalore Times for voting for me,” says Parul.
