Tamil actress
Trisha doesn't need any introduction for the Kannada audience as she is famous for her debut Kannada film 'Power' with
Puneeth Rajkumar, which was released in 2014. 'Power' was a remake of Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster Telugu film, 'Dookudu'. Interestingly, Trisha's pairing with Puneeth was widely accepted and the same pair were expected to unite once again in director
Pawan Kumar's 'Dvitva'.
In August last year, the makers of Puneeth movies like 'Ninnindale', 'Raajakumara', and 'Yuvarathnaa' announced that Trisha would be the heroine of their fourth collaboration with the Power Star – the Pawan Kumar directorial, 'Dvitva'. “The leading lady of #Dvitva is here. We welcome the talented Trisha on board,” they had tweeted.
Take a look at Trisha's Tweet:
Unfortunately, the plans were unable to see the light of the day, due to Puneeth's demise in October last year. After close to a year, now there are rumours that Pawan is looking at reviving 'Dvitva' with Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil in the lead, it is not clear if Trisha will get to retain her role. The actress was in Bengaluru yesterday, along with members of team 'Ponniyin Selvan', to promote the film. Speaking at the event, Trisha said that she last came to Bengaluru when she was shooting for 'Power' and was here for 50 days. She also expressed that she missed an opportunity to work with Puneeth Rajkumar again on a film called 'Dvitva'. She is heartbroken about Puneeth’s loss and his memory will live on forever.
