Pooja Gandhi turns Madamji

Actress Pooja Gandhi is next working in a Kannada film titled, Madamji. The film will go on floors after Abhinetri.
Abhinetri is said to be based on the life of yesteryear actress Kalpana. However, Pooja has denied that the film is based on the tragic life of the veteran actress. "I've never said I am playing Kalpana. My character is an actress from the 50s and 60s, but that does not mean that I am playing one particular actress. This film is a work of fiction, inspired by the lives of actresses of that time. It is our attempt to present the other side of the coin — things that the common audience knew little of." Pooja garnered critical acclaim for her role in the controversial film Dandupalyain 2012.
