Vikrant Rona was huge milestone for both Sandalwood and director Anup Bhandari along with its leading man Kiccha Sudeep. The pan Indian film which also made major news when its title was launched at the Burj Khalifa. Buoyed by the hit song Ra Ra Rakkamma, the film continued making all the right noises which further heightened post the success of the film. So after all that fanfare, what does its director have up his sleeve? Anup Bhandari who took some much-needed time off, is now back to work mode.
“I’m in the process of writing and have begun working on two scripts. I haven’t decided which one to make, but as it shapes up, the one which gets more interesting is what will make the final cut,” shares Anup. “Post Vikrant Rona, the expectations from audiences have doubled and I have to live up to that responsibility. So I’m being really careful about what I deliver,” he tells us. Meanwhile, Vikrant Rona recently celebrated over a billion streaming views on OTT. Anup’s brother and actor Nirup had also shared a picture of the Bhandary brothers’ father and uncle watching the film on OTT at their home.
