Murphy. “And what better location than a 140-year old institution to film an epic love story? St Aloysius is a heritage institution where thousands of students have made some great memories for life.
Murphy is all about cherishing the smallest of memories and love stories also form a significant aspect of life on a college campus,” points of Pradeep.
Starring
Prabhu Mundkur,
Roshni Prakash and newbie
Ila Veermalla, the team kicked off shooting from April 1 and have been capturing key scenes in historic blocks of the institution. “I play a local Christian boy whose family name is Murphy and is a student at the college. What makes this so special for me is that I am an alumnus of St Aloysius and I’ve the fondest memories of my college life: the cutting chai in the canteen, the samosas we used to buy from the hawker outside and the mangoes we’d relish from street-side shops. Everything here makes me so nostalgic,” says Prabhu.
And the highlight? Never in the history of St Aloysius has the college been given for film shoots. “I feel fortunate that they have given it to us. Maybe because I was everyone’s favourite student,” says Prabhu. The team will shoot major portions of the flick in the college, following which they will move to Goa for the next schedule.
