Preetika's NY connect

Preetika Rao loves to keep herself busy. After wowing the audiences with her performance in the first film Chikku Bukku in Tamil, the actor got to debut in Tollywood with Priyudu.
However, Preetika decided to take a break in order to pursue her long time dream of acquiring a degree in screenplay writing and broadcast journalism from New York.
The actor, who is back home in Mumbai, is in complete awe of her experience in NYC.'I always liked writing scripts. My cousin was going to NYC to study screenplay writing and encouraged me to do the course as well. I must say that the overall experience was very enriching,' she says.
Preetika was shocked to see the visuals on hurricane Sandy in New York. 'New York is like an island city and so similar to Mumbai. It's scary to even think of what a hurricane of that volume can do to our existence. I can't even imagine encountering something like this in Mumbai!' says Preetika, who is currently working on her third project, Rebel, opposite Aditya.
