Pruthvi Ambaar stars in the Hindi remake of Dia

It looks like Dia heartthrob Pruthvi Ambaar is going places. After making a name for himself in Tulu cinema, he had a breakthrough role with his Kannada film Dia, which has landed him multiple new signings making him one of the busiest actors in recent times. With around half a dozen films in Kannada in various stages of production, Pruthvi is all set to explore something new shortly.He has bagged the lead in the official Hindi remake of Dia, which will mark his foray into Bollywood too.
According to a news report, Pruthvi has already begun work for the Hindi remake, which has the director of the original, KS Ashoka, working as the creative head for the same. The film will apparently be shot in Lucknow, Dehradun and Mussoorie. In fact, Pruthvi has also posted an image of himself in Lucknow, where he has apparently already begun work on the film.
Dia, which won both critical and audience acclaim, won greater reach and appreciation once it was released on a streaming platform last year, with members of film industries from various regions applauding the new team. This also led to the film's remake rights in various languages being in demand. The team of the Hindi remake is apparently looking for fresh faces to be cast in the lead alongside Pruthvi. The original had newbies Kushee Ravi and Dheekshith Shetty play the other two leads. The emotional love story, with a shocking climax, was one of the highest rated films in Kannada in 2020.
