Puneeth Rajkumar promotes Chetan's film

If director Nagashekar's Sanju Weds Geetha had its lead heroine Ramya presenting it, his next release Myna too will have the backing of a big Sandalwood star. This time around, it is Puneeth Rajkumar who is not acting in the film, but lending his name to it.
Confirming the news, filmmaker NS Rajkumar, who had previously made Puneeth's Prithvi, says, 'This script was initially narrated to Puneeth.While he was very impressed with the story, he suggested that we should make it with a younger actor to suit the subject better.'
The makers then cast Aa Dinagalu actor Chetan in the lead with Nithya Menen. The film, which is being shot as a bilingual, is now nearing completion. 'All our promotional material will now read Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar presents Myna. He has been gracious enough to support the film, because the story impressed him,' says Rajkumar.
Myna, which has been shot across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Goa, also has an ensemble cast that includes Sarath Kumar, Suman Ranganath, Suhasini Maniratnam and Malavika Avinash.
