Actress Rachita Ram has signed a new female centric project, Lilly, directed by Vijay S Gowda, who is making his debut as a Sandalwood director. The movie is jointly bankrolled by Nagaraj and
Subramani.
The director has revealed that Rachita was so excited about the script and the title, that she immediately accepted the project. The subject of the movie touches upon burning social issues related to the younger generation and children.
The project deals with neglecting children at a young age leading to psychological imbalance. Rachita is essaying the role of a popular psychologist, Dr Maahi. Lilly will be a woman-centric film.
The makes have finalized the shooting locations and art director Satish is erecting a special set to shoot for the movie. The director is planning to wrap up the shoot in one stretch once the authorities give permission for film shoots. Lilly also marks the debut of music director Veeresh S Gowda. Willaim David is the cinematographer.
Meanwhile, Rachita, who was last seen on the silver screen in the movie Ayushman Bhava, currently has April, 100, Daali and Ek Love Ya in her kitty. The actress is also sharing screen space with Prajwal Devaraj for the first time in her career in the movie Vereram. The project is directed by
Khadar Kumar. She is also making her Telugu debut with the film Super Machi, that is directed by Puli Vasu.
