Rachita Ram to play cop in her first female-centric film

Rachita Ram had recently backed RJ-turned-filmmaker Mayuraa Raghavendra for his first short film Rishabhapriya. The duo will now be working together in Mayuraa’s first feature film, which will feature Rachita as the lead. “This is my first female-oriented film and I am thrilled to play a cop in it. I won’t be seen in a uniform, though. Instead, I will be in mufti — mostly linen shirts and jeans.The treatment will be akin to Rani Mukerji’s character in Mardaani. The film has a very nice message. We will make our first formal announcement in mid January and plan to go on floors by the end of the month or early February,” says Rachita.
