When actressRamya joined the youth Congress wing in Bangalore, not many thought that she'd take a serious interest in politics. But months later, the actress got into the thick of it all when she contested theMandyaLokSabhabypolland emerged victorious. In the time since, the new MP has been busy getting her act together as a politician, unable to allot dates for her pending film commitments.

She has, however, now given the makers of her Shivarajkumar-starrer Kannada film Aaryan five days to finish her talkie portions in the film. Aaryan, which was (late) director D Rajendra Babu's film, had been stuck for a while due to Ramya's unavailability and subsequently the director's demise. But now, with director Gurudutt taking over the project, which is apparently nearly done, efforts are on to can all remaining scenes and do any required patchwork.
The actress has spread out the five days over the next week and a half for Aaryan, while also finding time for her political commitments. “I'd like to thank team Aaryan for their support, helping me balance my life at a very critical transitional phase. As a woman, I feel empowered. Fulfilling my commitment for Aaryan. Mixed bag of feelings,” she had tweeted on Wednesday.
The actress's other pending projects includeDil Ka Raja, Neer Dose and Kodi Ramakrishna's film. The latter, she says, is complete and only requires some CGI work.
