For Kannada filmmaker Pavan Wadeyar, his upcoming film with Puneeth Rajkumar is a very prestigious project. One that he says will be very different for Puneeth, yet work well for his Power Star image. Ever since the project, Ranavikrama, was announced, a lot of rumours have been doing the rounds about the casting, the latest being that Puneeth's Milana heroine Parvathi Menon would be in the film. Pavan, though, refutes this saying that he is yet to cast for the two heroines in the film. "I am still on location hunt for the film, as actual shooting begins only in May. On Puneeth's birthday (March 17) we are just having the
muhurat. At the moment, other than Puneeth, only actors like
Girish Karnad,
Rangayana Raghu and Ravishankar have been confirmed for the film," he says.
As for the reports that Puneeth is playing a double role, all that Pavan says is that the actor plays a student in the film. "The story is such that Puneeth's character will do a heroic deed, which makes the whole world take note of him and make him a part of history," he explains.
