Actors have always been politically inclined, and Rangayana Raghu seems to be taking inspiration from Jaggesh and Ramya. The actor has reportedly been approached by the BJP to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. According to sources, the party is hopeful that the actor will contest from Tumkur, which is considered relatively safe for the party. Rangayana Raghu, who is known for his comic timing, is reportedly considering the offer and hasn’t made up his mind yet.
GS Basavaraj is the current BJP MP from Tumkur, and it is said that some members of the party are unhappy with him being nominated again. This is apparently the reason why the party has approached Rangayana Raghu.
According to reports, fellow actor and comedian Jaggesh also has his eyes set on the Tumkur LS seat, as does former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa. Only time will tell if Rangayana Raghu will stake his claim on the parliamentary seat.
