Rishi Kapoor's Sandalwood connect with Puttanna Kanagal

Rishi Kapoor leaves behind a huge body of films and also a mark as the quintessential romantic hero of Indian cinema. Interestingly, in the beginning of his career, he also tried to embrace the angry young man avatar.
Rishi had a Puttanna Kanagal connect with this regard. Kanagal directed Rishi in Zehreela Insaan, the remake of Nagarahaavu. Rishi played the role originally essayed and made immortal by late Dr Vishnuvardhan.While Zehreela Insaan did not do as well as the Kannada orginal, the film had the memorable track O Hansini.
Zehreela Insaan incidentally also had late Ambareesh reprising his role as Jaleela. Moushumi Chatterjee and Neetu Kapoor were the leading ladies in the film.
