The ongoing drug scandal probe in Bengaluru that is being led by the Central Crime Branch police has been happening for the past three weeks. This morning, actor couple Diganth Manchale and Aindrita Ray appeared in front of the CCB officers as part of the inquiry being done in this case. This led to a lot of speculation on what their summons were for and whether they would see a fate similar to Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani.

But, Joint Commissioner of Police Crime, Sandeep Patil appeared in front of the media and clarified saying, "We had asked them to come for investigations regarding the case. They will be sent word once again if need be for another round of inquiry."
The two actors were grilled separately for three and a half hours. They were reportedly presented digital evidences pertaining to the case and were asked about them. There was a break from the grilling, when the CCB had even given them lunch, when Sandeep Patil had a session on the proceedings until now through the day and shared the information with with the media. He also mentioned the arrest of another peddler of African origin and said this arrest is a major breakthrough in this case.
Speaking to reporters when they were leaving, Diganth said, "We have co-operated and will continue to co-operate with the police through this investigation that is currently going on."
The drug probe, which has been dubbed as the Sandalwood drug scandal, already has two prominent actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani being arrested along with a dozen others who are connected with Bengaluru's nightlife industry. It is to be seen what will happen of their meeting with CCB.
