Actress Ragini Dwivedi, who was sent to fourteen days of judicial custody yesterday in connection with the ongoing drug scandal that links Kannada film industry with drug abuse, is reported to be unwell and suffered from low sugar and back pain on the first night of her being jailed at the central jail in Parappana Agrahara on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
Ragini was reportedly suffering from acute back ache and also low blood sugar and she could not sleep all night. The actress has apparently been administered drips for now and is being observed closely by all the doctors at the jail. The actress has been complaining of ill-health for some time now since she has been arrested by the CCB officials.
Reports also suggest that Ragini has been requesting for her to be transferred to a private hospital so that she can be treated well. There is no update on whether or not this request has been taken into consideration by the police yet. Ragini also has her bail hearing coming up tomorrow. She has applied for an interim bail and her father Col. Rakesh Kumar Dwivedi is apparently very confident about the family getting Ragini out. He had told Bangalore Times, "There was nothing found in our house during the raid and she will come out. I had consoled Ragini that this is one step towards freedom."
Ragini was arrested by the CCB on September 4 following a long raid in her residence and then a CCB grilling that lasted all day long. There are also reports that suggested Ragini being involved in a case in 2018 too.
