Actress
Sanjana Anand, who is looking forward to the release of Salaga, is making her Telugu debut with a romantic movie which has Kiran Abbavaram in the lead role. The as-yet-untitled film is directed by debutante Karthik Shankar and produced by Kodi Deepthi, daughter of well-known director,
Kodi Ramakrishna.
Sanajana says, “As an actress, I always wanted to explore other industries which help an artiste to improve their acting skills.
This offer was in the pipeline since March, but got delayed because of the lockdown. I wanted to do an out-and-out romantic movie which has been my long-pending dream since I entered into the industry. It is getting fulfilled with this project. My character has two shades - a bubbly girl as well as a very mature one who makes sensible decisions.”
Telugu is not a hindrance for
Sanjana as she can speak the language. “I can converse easily in Telugu. So, if the film team gives permission, I can do the voice-over for my own character. We will begin shooting in Hyderabad from October 25.” Sanjana’s other films, Shokiwala and Window Seat, are also ready to release.
