Sarah: Rocking the South & B-town

Sarah Jane Dias is just one film old, but she already has two other big projects in her kitty.
Sarah: Rocking the South & B-town
Bangalore is, apparently, her favourite city, after Mumbai of course. And VJ-turned-actress and former Miss India Sarah Jane Dias, was here to do what most women love to do wear and promote diamonds. She was on a short break from the promotional activities for her forthcoming Bollywood debut, Game.
The multi-starrer Game, incidentally, is Sarahs second film.

She made her film debut with the Tamil flick Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai, opposite Vishal. Her debut, though, tanked at the BO. Ive no regrets doing TVP. It was a fun movie and had a great star cast, says the actress. The films BO performance, though, didnt affect her career graph, as she quickly snapped up an offer to make her Bollywood debut opposite the junior Bachchan. And much before that film even gets to see the light of day, shes already bagged a big Tollywood project, having signed on to play Pawan Kalyans love interest in the Telugu remake of the smash hit Dabbang, called Gabbar Singh.
Sarah, however, is unwilling to discuss her character in Gabbar Singh. Right now, all my energy is focussed on Game. We had a blast working on it. It is a very exciting project and I hope it is received well. Id rather not speak about my Telugu film now. Just wait and watch, she says with a smile.
If reports are to be believed, Sarah will not be the only female presence in Gabbar Singh. Her other two movies, TVP and Game, too had two other actresses each in them. Is she okay being part of an ensemble cast or would she rather be a solo heroine? The genre of the films I have done so far required this. I dont select a film based on whos in it or how many other co-stars I have. What matters to me is my role and the scope it allows me to perform, she says.
And with actors making a beeline for the small screen these days to host shows, would she want to go back to TV, given that shes been there and done that? TVs always exciting. I wouldnt mind a one-off thing, but not a regular appearance. Right now, I want to make films, she signs off.
