The actress however went on and clarified that she had only stepped out to get some medicines.
Sharmiela, who was lying low ever since the accident, took to her social media page after a long time on May 3, where she posted, "Thank you all for asking. I'm better and recovering. Sending you lots of love. Stay safe (sic)."
Since then, the actress took to posting on her social media pages today, May 22. She finally broke her silence on the subject as she shared a series of tweets, sharing her side of the unfortunate incident. Her first tweet was one of gratitude as it read: "I would like to thank my family, friends and my well wishes . I would like to thank the doctors who helped me get through this difficult episode . I’m healing and much better now (sic)". This was followed by a second tweet which was a reiteration of her clarifying statement. It read, "There are many stories about me which were circulated at the time of the accident . Unfortunately I suffered from multiple fractures and at that time my main intention was to get better (sic)." She also shared a small video from her physiotherapy sessions, emphasising on how positive and grateful she felt for her speedy recovery.
