The meetings with insurance officials require one to be quite prepared with all answers. Especially after the Maasthi Gudi incident, a lot of questions relating to the making are asked. They double check on the stunts, the kind of locations and the equipments used. We need to list out the risky stunts. We also have to provide a list of all details, including about the production house, director’s profile, information about actors, etc.,” adds Srikanth, explaining the process of obtaining insurance coverage for Kannada films. Films like KGF and Tarak have also been insured from start-to-finish and this is turning out to be a healthy trend, especially since they help cover any risks even during the post-production stages, including any damages to the hard disk containing the film.
