Shweta Basu Prasad in Kannada film

Child star turned actress Shweta Basu Prasad, who was embroiled in false charges of prostitution last year, is back on track as far as her career is concerned.
Previously known for her roles in the daily soaps Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Karishma Kaa Karishma, Shweta was also seen in Bollywood in films like Darna Zaroori Hai and Iqbal. She will now make her Kannada film debut with Devravne Budu Guru, whrein she plays the role of an investigative journalist.
The film also stars Akul Balaji, winner of second season of Bigg Boss Kannada.
