Simple Suni shelves big-bucks film for a romance

Director Simple Suni is putting Robin Hood on hold to direct a romance.“We will still make Robin Hood; it’s just that it will come out after I direct the romantic flick. Robin Hood requires a huge canvas and a mega budget. The pandemic has not been easy, and that goes for filmmakers too. When you make a film of this sort, you can’t cut corners and need to give it the treatment it needs. So, we decided to film Robin Hood at a later date,” shares Suni.The film, which was to have starred newcomer Dushyanth Srinivas, had created a ripple with Dushyanth’s look on its posters. The new romantic film will also feature Dushyanth and Suni wants to rope in an established heroine as the leading lady.“It will be a love story and not of the regular kind. It will question science and your logical mind. So, until the climax, you will not realise what has transpired and you will be riveted to your seat till the end,” shares Suni.“We will begin shooting in April and audiences can be assured that it will have witty dialogues and comedy that are intrinsic to my films,” states Suni.
