Sudeep to explain Thayige Thakka Maga in its trailer today

There are multiple specialties about director Shashank’s next, Thayige Thakka Maga. For starters, it shares the title with a 1978 Rajkumar-starrer, but the filmmaker assures that the similarity ends there. “The title seemed apt for our story, as it revolves around a mother and son and their fights for the good of society. It also reunites Sumalatha Ambareesh and Krishna Ajai Rao as onscreen mother and son, nearly 15 years after their last collaboration, Excuse Me.The biggest highlight, though, is that we have a voiceover by Sudeep, which will be a part of our trailer that’s being released today, as well as in the film. We have summed up the essence of the film in a quote voiced by Sudeep,” says Shashank.
The film, he adds, is a reflection of today’s society and is motivational in its tone. “Much of the story involves the mother-son duo taking on the antagonists — a father and son who are rich and influential. Amid all this, there is also a love story,” he signs off.
