Suri’s Tagaru to release on same date as Duniya

It was back in 2007, on February 23, that director Suri’s debut film Duniya hit theatres, and such was the success of the film that it gave the director and actors the moniker ‘Duniya’. And now, 11 years later, Suri is gearing up for the release of his next, Tagaru — also on February 23. And if the excitement around the film is anything to go by, then it seems like Suri is all set to taste success again with Tagaru.
When we asked the director if the date holds any significance for him, he said, “There is no connection between Duniya and Tagaru. When we began working on the film, the release date wasn’t planned. We initially planned on releasing it on February 9 and then February 16. It then became February 23.” We think that destiny had some role to play in this!
