The third edition of Times KAFTA is here

The third edition of Times KAFTA, the only technical film awards in the Kannada film industry, is here. This time, the awards is presented by Pushkar Films and Paramvah Studios, while Acme Movies International is the associate sponsor. The edition will have 16 categories, which include all the important technical categories that go into making a film.Talking about his association with the event, actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty says, “I’ve always had the idea of having an award function only for technicians on my mind. At all the award functions so far, they do not recognise the entire lot of technicians. Given that Times KAFTA is already doing the same, I felt it was apt to associate with this event.”
Producer Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah too believes that technicians need to be honoured more often. “These technicians are the reason a film ends up being what it is. A good technical team makes a good film and they often go unrecognised. I am delighted that I could come onboard this event, which has made a difference by honouring these technicians, in its third edition,” says Pushkara.
Producer Harish Sherigar, whose production house is the associate sponsor, says, “I am a relatively new entrant in the film industry, but I know how important technicians are to a film. This is a novel event and I am proud that my production house can be associated with this.”
