The makers of Badava Rascal released the much-awaited trailer at a city multiplex as a run-up to the actual release on Christmas day. The film has become popular even before its release, and is being called the common man's film since fans have been planning unique promotional activities.
The trailer release event saw the primary cast and crew present and addressing the media. Actor Nagabhushana and composer
Vasuki Vaibhav played impromptu hosts and ensured it was a fun evening.
Rangayana Raghu shared, "This is a much-needed film as it speaks about values and relationships that are often forgotten in today's world. I applaud
Dhananjaya for producing a film like this and
Shankar Guru for writing a story set in the heart of Bengaluru and speaking the language of people dreaming big in the city.”
Sparsha Rekha, who celebrated her birthday the same day, revealed, "I have a very important cameo in the film and I enjoyed working with the team. This is a film I am eagerly looking forward to."
The event also saw technicians like cinematographer Preetha Jayaraman, fight master
Vinod and choreographer Raju share their happiness about being a part of Dhananjaya's maiden home production.
Director
Shankar said the film was a simple story with a few complex and universal truths presented in a commercial manner. Lead actors Dhananjaya and Amrutha Iyengar added that the trailer is just a peek into what people can expect in the film. They also hinted about the release of a third song, a completely massy track that is contrary to the melodies released thus far.
