This week's releases: 'Hero', 'Raktha Gulabi', 'MBA', and 'Dheeram'

Sandalwood patrons are in for a treat this week as four films gear up for a theatrical release. First up is '

Hero

' starring Rishab Shetty and Ganavi Laxman which makes its way into the theatres with huge anticipation surrounding it. The action-comedy-drama has been directed by debutant M. Bharath Raj and also stars Pramod Shetty as its main antagonist. 'Hero', as many would already be aware, was conceived and produced during the Covid-19 lockdown with bare-minimum resources and despite the constrictions, the makers seem to have achieved the desired quality. 's moody background score to Arvind Kashyap's intriguing visuals, 'Hero' has many interesting facets to look forward to. The single from the film, Nenapina Hudugiye, too has garnered tremendous praise since its release.

The second film to release in theatres this week is Rabi's 'Raktha Gulabi', a single take experimental

thriller

about a group of robbers whose ill-fated deed takes the story in interesting new directions. 'Raktha Gulabi' stars Vikramadithya and Shivani in the lead roles and has been produced by Machinekad Films. The film has been shot by Raavanan with Prajoth D'Sa composing its music.

Alongside, this Friday, the 5th of March, will also see 'MBA' make its way to the big screen. A thriller film concerning a murder angle, the film stars debutants Puneeth Gowda and Kavya Gowda and has been written, directed, and produced by H.P. 'MBA' has been shot by Darshan Dev and edited by Mariswamy P.

The final film in this week's release list is 'Dheeram', an action drama directed by Manjunath URS. The film stars Ajith Mani and Ramika and has been produced by Gurumurthy. Roshan Jagajyothi has directed the film's music.
