Tulu cinema's Rachana Rai all set for Kannada film debut

Actress Rachana Rai, who started her career in Tulu films, has now forayed into Sandalwood with Vamana. The actress has already wrapped up shooting for the first schedule of the movie which sees her sharing screen space with Dhanveerah. The movie is directed by Shankar Raman.
About the film, Rachana says, “I am blessed to work with such a wonderful team in my first film.I play the daughter of a customs officer, who works in a five-star hotel as a receptionist. She is a practical girl who falls in love with a man. How she fights for her love builds up her character. There is plenty of scope to showcase my acting skills, which is why I signed on the dotted line.”
Apart from being an actor, Rachana is also a national-level badminton player and author. “I found out that I love acting the most, so I decided to pursue it. I have also given stage shows in my younger days, which gave me the confidence that I can have a long and bright career here,” sums up Rachana.
