Upendra and R Chandru to team up again for Uppi 2

Actor Upendra and director R Chandru seems to have hit it off rather well especially after the success of their latest film, Brahma. But for their second time association, they will not come together as actor and director; instead, the association will be in the capacity of producer and distributor. Impressed by the marketing strategy adopted for Brahma, Uppi has decided to handover the role of the distributor to R Chandru.The film is being directed by Upendra under the banner of Upendra Productions and the shoot is likely to start from March 2014.
Chandru had distributed Brahma under his home banner Mylaari Enterprises. The film released in more than 200 single screen theatres in Karnataka and grossed approximately 10 crore rupees in just four days at the box-office. It has been reported that it is the highest ever amount or any Upendra film till date. The film was released on Chandru’s birthday i.e. February 7 and has even broken records set by his earlier film, Charminar.
