Upendra’s next is an action thriller steeped in philosophy

Real Star Upendra, who has been busy shooting for R Chandru’s I Love You — Nanne Preethse, has signed his next. The actor will be a part of the directorial debut of Maurya BN, a long-time associate of filmmakers like Nagathihalli Chandrashekar and Suri, with over 12 years experience in the industry. “The as-yet-untitled action thriller is slated to go on floors in December.The story builds on a philosophy and explores how two people, one regular person and one a genius, react to a certain situation.
“We are looking at presenting Uppi sir in a new avatar, both in terms of characterisation as well as his onscreen look. He was quite excited with the narration,” says Maurya.
