Vasishta N Simha lends a helping hand to Bengaluru's frontline duty cops
Sandalwood actor Vasishta N Simha and his friends have gone all out to assist police men and women deployed on front line duties battling the coronavirus in namma Bengaluru. The actor along with his friends Jithendra P Pandit, Ravi, Sudha, Sharmila and Inith Kumar were seen distributing hand sanitisers and masks to the frontline duty cops in South Bangalore on Wednesday. But, the actor informs that this initiative is already a few days old.

"We went by what was the need of the hour and then mobilised funds for this. And, since after the doctors and healthcare workers, it is the policemen who are working upfront and that too in close proximity with all kinds of people and different environment, the idea of distributing masks and hand sanitisers cropped up. The hand sanitisers distributed are all organic as we ensured that these sanitisers do not have any chemical," says Vasishta who adds that within a span of four days their team has distributed some 1750-2000 units of hand sanitisers and masks. "We covered almost 17-21 stations located in South and West Bangalore and we have distributed some 1750-2000 units of hand sanitisers and masks till now. "

However, the plan to help does not stop there. The actor informs, "The other area that we want to focus is on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits which we want to distribute among the frontline duty cops and also healthcare workers. We have already placed the order for the same." His team has planned to start off with some 400 PPE kits and then scale up the distribution.
