‘Vikrant Rona’ box office collection Day 2: Kiccha Sudeep starrer sees nearly 60% drop on the second day

Kiccha Sudeep’s adventure fantasy film ‘Vikrant Rona’ which was said to be the next big hit from the Kannada film industry is now seeing a drop in its box office collections on day 2. Reportedly the film has managed to earn only Rs 70 lakhs on its second day run in the Hindi belt resulting in a 60% drop in the overall collections.

Earlier it was reported that the Kiccha Sudeep starrer had a magnificent opening at the box office as it reportedly minted over Rs 35 crores on its initial day. As the majority of the responses for ‘Vikrant Rona’ were positive, it was expected that the film would earn much more on the second day.

Netizens point out the reason for a major drop in ‘Vikrant Rona’ collections in Hindi to be only because of the fact that the Kiccha Sudeep starrer had fewer promotions among the Hindi-speaking audience. Although the film earned over Rs 1 crore on its opening day in Hindi, ‘Vikrant Rona’ only managed to mint over Rs 70 lakhs on the second day.

Meanwhile, ‘Vikrant Rona’ is getting a massive response in Karnataka as the film reportedly earned over Rs 16.05 crores alone from the state. If the trend goes like this in the coming days, then it would be a positive factor for the Kiccha Sudeep starrer and will be the next big hit in the Kannada film industry after KGF: Chapter 2’.

Helmed by Anup Bhandari, ‘Vikrant Rona’ is a fantasy thriller that has several breathtaking 3D sequences. Apart from Kiccha Sudeep, the film also features the actors Jacqueline Fernandez, Nirup Bhandari, and Neetha Ashok in significant roles.
