Working with Puneeth Rajkumar will remain a dream: Ashika Ranganath

The sudden demise of Kannada film super star Puneeth Rajkumar, fondly known as Power Star and Appu by his fans and loved ones, has left everyone shocked and saddened. There have been a lot of condolence messages pouring ever since his friends, colleagues and well wishers learnt about the unfortunate news. Among those who took to share their heartbreak and loss on social media was actress Ashika Ranganath.The actress also revealed through her post that she was to work with Puneeth in his next film and now that moment, which was a dream come true, will only remain a dream henceforth.

Ashika wrote on her social media page, "The moment I signed dvitva I felt my dream came true but now it’s a dream 💔😭 Love you Appu sir ♥️ We will miss you 😭😭😭" The film was to be directed by Pawan Kumar, whose birthday coincidentally is today, the same day Puneeth breathed his last. The film also was to have Trisha Krishnan as part of the cast and the film was slated to take off either in November end or December, once Puneeth finished all his work on his current project James.

Meanwhile, Ashika is also playing the lead in another film O2, which is being produced by Puneeth Rajkumar's home banner and the first schedule of the film was recently completed in Mysuru. The team had shared that Puneeth was extremely thrilled after he had heard the story of this medical thriller and had immediately agreed to back the film.
