Theatre lovers in Bengaluru were recently treated to Ira Dubey’s popular solo act 9 Parts of Desire. Directed by Lillete Dubey, the dramatic piece details the life and experiences of nine Muslim women in conflict-ridden Iraq. Inspired by the original Heather Raffo play of the same name, this women-centric theatrical dabbles with themes like the human condition, violence and survival.
