Sadichha-r Rangbadal: A Bengali adaptation of Where There's A Will

SmaranniK presents the Bengali play Sadichha-r Rangbadal, a wacky comedy based on Mahesh Dattani's Where There's A Will.
The play is set in the lavish house of Hasmukh Mehta, an autocratic business tycoon who enjoys ruling over his family and his self-earned business. Hasmukh’s family, as seen through his eyes, include his 'boring' wife Sonal, ‘nincompoop’ son Ajit, and his 'sly' daughter-in-law Preeti.The play takes a sharp turn with Hasmukh's demise, when his family is forced to accept an unexpected guest, Kiran, Hashmukh's mistress.
The play, which is being staged at Ranga Shankara on April 22, has been translated by Meghnad Bhattacharya and directed by Sayandeb Bhattacharya. It was an official selection at the National Theatre Festival and the International Theatre Festival.
