Artist Shilo Shiv Suleman is getting down and dirty again... in a good way. The diarist caught her giving a wall in Shivajinagar her magic treatment, along with a group from the BBMP girls school on Narayan Pillai street.
“It’s been transformative for us, the girls and the community,” says Suleman, who was one of the city artists involved in this collaborative effort.

The artists (Gayatri Ganju, Kaveri G and Devi Hema; initiated by Arzu Mistry) also conducted a workshop for the girls about women-related issues and what it means to be a woman.
Suleman took off with her tools of change — paints and brushes — over the weekend to Ahmedabad for a conference on women’s rights. There too, she painted a wall at Mallika Sarabhai's Darpana Academy of Performing Arts. Brightening up cities — one wall at a time — is this artist.
