Co-operative and Anita’s the Tortilla Entertainment Company, the play primarily revolves around a married couple, in the late 1980s and 1990s. Filled with humour and moments of despair, the narrative follows the topsy-turvy happenings of an evening that they want to celebrate for a special reason. But, somehow, things don’t turn the way they desire.

. Set amid the bittersweet episodes of an Indian household, Panchhi underscores the financial struggles of a middle-class family.

Originally written in Bengali by Manoj Mitra, the play in co-translated in Hindi by Md Nizam and Srinivas. The cast includes actors Amit Suthar, Vandana Dugar, Suryansh Pratap and Devashish Singbal. In the past few months, the play has travelled extensively across the country, and has won awards under several categories at important platforms.
